KEEPING PINEHURST... PINEHURST
Jeramy Hooper for Village Council

VISION &
PRIORITIES
A walk through the Farmer’s Market, a perfect sandwich at Coley’s, our soaring pines and magnolias, the quiet echo of The Village Chapel’s bells serve to remind us that Pinehurst is not just our home and community; Pinehurst is truly one of the most special places on earth.
01
DENSITY
IS
DESTINY
Pinehurst has a great village feel to it, let’s keep it that way. I oppose any development that requests a greater density exceeding current zoning limits.
02
THE
TRAFFIC
CIRCLE
The traffic circle is uniquely Pinehurst. Let’s improve not replace the traffic circle, on our terms. I will engage with NCDOT but it’s going to be from a position of advocating Pinehurst’s NEEDS not settling for NCDOT wants.
03
ETJ
People living in the ETJ like it the way it is and so do I. Not only is it a beautiful place worth conserving, it’s a great buffer to county development. I am against new developments in the ETJ.
04
STR
Neighborhoods should be for neighbors not rent-seeking interest outside Pinehurst. I’m fully committed to the enforcement of our STR ordinance and strengthening them even more.
05
CITIZEN
CENTERED
I am committed to a citizen centered approach that prioritizes your vision and values and advocates for that interest upward through County and State Governments.
06
LOCAL
VISION AND
VALUES
I work for Pinehurst's vision and values, not county and state agendas.
07
PRESERVE
I will preserve our historic character with the same fundamental approaches that built it. Historic Character built Pinehurst, let's keep it that way.
08
PROTECT AND
SUPPORT
I'm committed to fostering a vibrant village core and doing everything we can in government to fully support the business community within it.
